The Cast:: Hound of the Baskervilles

Our first meeting will be Friday(2-10-12) at 5:45p.m. at Fazzoli's.  We can eat together for those who want (at our own expense), and we will spend about an hour talking about the show, rehearsal schedules (which will be non-typical for SGT) and the characters.  I hope all of you will be able to come to this, as it will be a first step toward building relationships between characters.

There were so many talented people that auditioned for this play, and it was painful for me to not include more of you, as I know it would have been a very enjoyable experience working with you.  However, there were only six male roles and three female roles, and so I had to make some very tough choices.  I encourage all of you who did not get a part to try out for future plays at Stained Glass Theatre, because you have been gifted with talent that honors the Lord, and you should use that gift for His glory!  I hope that I will have the privilege of working with you in the future.

The Cast:

Jeremey Wolfe as Sherlock Holmes

Dave Garrison as Dr. Watson

Lance Manning as Sir Henry Baskerville

Erika Stillians as Beryl Stapleton

Jon Cheek as Mr. Stapleton

Ann Wolfe as Laura Lyons

Lee Doss as Dr. Mortimer

David Cheek as Mr. Barrymore

Shy Rees as Mrs. Barrymore

Congrats, and let's get to work!

Fund Raising Ideas

Thank you all who have been working so hard to think of ways to help Stained Glass Theatre Joplin. Please know that the leadership of SGT Joplin is working to develop both short-term and long-term plans for the theatre, which include efforts to raise the funds we need to house and operate this ministry. We are asking that everyone who have ideas for fundraisers, please have the leadership sign off on these plans before you begin using the name and/or logo of the theatre.

We have a responsibility to maintain integrity in all our financial dealings, and we need to make sure all of our efforts work together toward a bigger plan of restoring the ministry of SGT Joplin. We welcome both the passion and the creativity that has been shown in thinking of various ways to raise funds for the theatre, but we need to make sure all of these ideas are being funneled through the leadership, in order to protect patrons, supporters and the theatre itself. You can contact any board member to share your ideas, and they can work with you in seeking permission from the overall leadership. Thank you for your continued prayers, as we move forward to what God is preparing for this ministry.

Important Announcement

"The Board of Directors for SGT Joplin, with a grateful heart, are happy to announce that Mercy Health Systems (St. John's) has communicated a firm commitment to assist our ministry in creating a permanent location for a new theatre.  There are many details to work out, but we wanted our SGT family to know that Mercy has in a very gracious and clear manner, expressed their firm resolve to see SGT Joplin be a part of the redevelopment of property surrounding the current St. Johns hospital.  This gives us a direction for a permanent home.  Please pray for God's continued provision and for wisdom in the planning process.  Thank you SGT Joplin family for your patience and for your faithful prayers."
